Howard Meyer joined Zeller Realty Group in 2012. As Executive Vice President, he oversees the marketing and leasing of office properties within the firm’s 4.3 million-square-foot Chicago portfolio and oversees the recruiting, development and success of the Chicago-area landlord leasing professionals. Since joining Zeller, Howard and his team have negotiated over 350 leases totaling 2.6 million square feet with a value of $794 million. Howard also assists the Chief Operating Officer, Robert Six, in expanding the firm’s Chicago Metropolitan Area real estate investment portfolio.
Prior to joining Zeller Realty Group, Howard was Senior Vice President of The John Buck Company. He consummated 151 lease transactions totaling 2.3 million square feet with a transaction value of $610 million. Prior to joining The John Buck Company, Howard was Senior Vice President & Director of Property Leasing for U.S. Equities Realty, a leasing associate at Grubb & Ellis Company and at Dean Topping and Company where he represented both landlords and tenants in the Chicago CBD.
Howard is a graduate of the College of Wooster, where he earned a BS in Business Economics. He is a licensed Real Estate Managing Broker in the State of Illinois and serves on the Advisory Board of the Chicago Office Leasing Brokers Association (COLBA) and is a past Board President. Howard is the Board Vice President for Tutoring Chicago that serves over 700 disadvantaged students in the City of Chicago. He is a 6-time finalist for the Commercial Real Estate Awards’ Property Representative of the Year (2016, 2010, 2006, 2005, 1996 and 1995). In 2002, Howard was recognized by Chicago Real Estate Magazine as one of the City’s “Top 40 under 40,” and in 2003 was featured as one of the “Chicago Real Estate All-Stars.” In 1996, he received the Product Representative Award from the Chicago Office Leasing Brokers Association.
