Howard Meyer joined Zeller Realty Group in 2012. As Senior Vice President, he oversees the firm’s Chicago-area landlord leasing agents, marketing and leasing select office properties within the firm’s 2.8 million square foot Chicago portfolio, and assisting the Chief Operating Officer in expanding the firm’s Chicago Metropolitan Area real estate investment portfolio.
Since joining Zeller Realty Group, Meyer has developed two new comprehensive marketing programs for firm assets, utilizing media that combines traditional marketing collateral and cutting edge virtual 3-D tours that feature extraordinary views powered by Google Earth. Meyer has also streamlined the internal reporting system and created databases for market research for leasing and sales transactions. In his first 15 months at Zeller, Meyer has negotiated 14 leases totaling 140,000 square feet with a value of $33.5 million.
Prior to joining Zeller Realty Group, Meyer was Senior Vice President of The John Buck Company. He consummated 151 lease transactions totaling 2.3 million square feet with a transaction value of $610 million. Prior to joining The John Buck Company, Mr. Meyer was Senior Vice President & Director of Property Leasing for U.S. Equities Realty, a leasing associate at Grubb & Ellis Company and at Dean Topping and Company where he represented both landlords and tenants in the Chicago CBD.
Meyer is a graduate of the College of Wooster, where he earned a BS in Business Economics. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Illinois and served on the board of the Chicago Office Leasing Brokers Association (COLBA) for eight years and is a past Board President. Mr. Meyer is the Board Vice President for Cabrini-Green Tutoring Program that serves over 250 disadvantaged students in the City of Chicago. Meyer is a 5-time finalist for the Commercial Real Estate Awards’ Property Representative of the Year (2010, 2006, 2005, 1996 and 1995). In 2002, Meyer was recognized by Chicago Real Estate Magazine as one of the City’s “Top 40 under 40,” and in 2003 was featured as one of the “Chicago Real Estate All-Stars.” In 1996, he received the Product Representative Award from the Chicago Office Leasing Brokers Association.
