Controller
Robert Lee joined Zeller Realty Group® in 1993 as Controller, engaged in financial reporting, cash management, and overseeing the accounting cycle of the company.
As Controller, Lee has set up the property management, accounting, and job cost systems for the ZRG Portfolio and has initiated and implemented internal controls. His responsibilities include: administering the full accounting cycle for twelve properties and three corporate entities; overseeing general ledger reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and the property management/construction accounting interface with the general ledger; overseeing payroll for over 85 employees; and coordinating year-end audit and tax work.
This includes third party properties Wells Fargo Plaza, Highland Bank Building, Park National Bank Building and Pondview Plaza in Minnesota. Minnesota ZRG owned properties handled are Wells Fargo Place. The Indiana portfolio is Castleton Park, and the Meridian properties in Carmel. The growing Chicago market is 430 West Erie, 211 East Ontario, 401 N. Michigan Avenue, and the Burnham Center.
Past accomplishments include: audit and accounting for all ZRG assets; the establishment of third party accounting relationships (including ING, INVESCO, and American Express); and the management of accounting and payroll at all properties.
Prior to joining ZRG, Lee was the Controller with TB & Z Realty and Management Corporation and its subsidiaries. During his five years with that company, he was responsible for the monthly and year-end accounting and financial reporting for various partnerships, including office, retail, and industrial properties.
Reporting responsibilities included the properties of 2 N. Riverside Plaza (500,000 SF), 230 N. Michigan Avenue (200,000 SF), The Village Market in LaGrange Park, and Record Center Corporation.
Lee graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in both Accounting and Finance. He is a licensed CPA in Illinois and a member of the Illinois CPA Society.
